Raise A Tree is a ground-breaking new website dedicated to helping Primary School children to learn about Trees, The Environment and Climate Change.
The basis of Raise A Tree is to allow Pupils to plant and raise a virtual tree somewhere in the world. The pupils will then need to water and look after their tree in order for it to grow.
Integrated into the Raise A Tree website are numerous Online Pupil Activites and Lesson Plans for teachers to use, FREE of charge. The Online Pupil Activities encourage pupils to learn about Trees, The Environment and Climate Change by rewarding correct answers with positive growth for their trees.
As their trees grow, various situations may occur, such as a natural disasters, that will have an impact on their tree's growth. If these happen to a pupil's tree then they will not only be provided with an explanation of what has happened but also why it has happened.
With the rising problem of Climate Change and Global Warming, Raise A Tree's aim is to educate pupils about the problems of tomorrow, today.
